It is not often that fighters have to face situations of burglary and theft, as it would be a low-return risk for the intruder. The last thing a burglar wants to encounter is the owner of the house they broke into being a trained fighter.
However, Ryan Garcia, like some other fighters, still fell prey to such a situation. He recently appeared in an interview with Bobbi Althoff where he recounted the incident he witnessed that same morning, adding to his already ongoing set of troubles like his social media controversy, which has concerned his supporters.
Ryan Garcia recalls being robbed
Garcia started detailing what exactly went down. He started by stating that the robbery took place in the early hours of the day at 8 am, which is rare in celebrity robberies. He then went on to explain the magnitude of the damage done by the thieves.
According to Garcia, they stole a precious $54,000 watch along with a purse and other expensive valuables. The boxer seemed visibly surprised by the incident and said, “So somebody said, top of the morning, let’s go rob him.”
Robbers once attacked Ryan Garciaâs house
This shocking robbery, however, is not the first that happened to the American boxer. Garcia has fallen victim to the same situation before in his life as well. While Garcia was in Las Vegas to announce his fight with Devin Haney and attend the Super Bowl being held there, a group of robbers invaded his property.
That burglary also happened in the daytime. Although Garcia did not talk much about what was taken, he did release CCTV footage which captured two men leaving with bags and scaling the wall to escape.
Ryan Garcia seems to have been going through a tough phase in his life currently with all sorts troubles that are falling on him. However, it is expected that all will be well for the boxer as he makes his walk to his gigantic outing against Devin Haney.
