Since winning the championship at Wrestlemania 39, the champions had defended their titles on multiple occasions. Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens were also involved in high-profile storylines against The Bloodline which lead to the collapse of the faction.
Recently, the champions have also defended their titles on WWE RAW, where they defeated The Imperium in an Undisputed tag team titles match. The match main eventedWWE Raw, as both the tag teams delivered an intense high-profile action on the show.
Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens’ successful title defense against Imperium
On the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens defended their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against IMPERIUM. Before their match, Kevin Owens had faced the reigning Intercontinental Champion Gunther in an impromptu match on the previous week’s episode, which he unfortunately lost.
On RAW this week, it was announced that the main event would feature a tag team match between The Ring General and Ludwig Kaiser of IMPERIUM against KO and Zayn.
In an exciting twist & turns in the match, Sami Zayn secured the victory for his team by delivering the Blue Thunder Bomb to Ludwig Kaiser, enabling them to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.
For those who don’t know about the upcoming WWE SmackDown, Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn will get their new opponents for titles.
Zayn’s tweet shows Gunther’s colossal imprint
After WWE Raw, Sami has also trolled the Intercontinental Champion by showing his footprint on Sami Zayn merch. The Ring General is already famous for his chops against his opponents but Zayn just shared his unique merch foot through his Twitter by quoting that:-
“Wife, folding laundry: did somebody stomp your back?! Me: what? Oh yeah, I wrestled Gunther. Why do you ask?”
Sami Zayn is basically here, trying to show that his wife asked a question from the tag team champion regarding the foot point on his shirt. After asking this question, Zayn replied that he wrestled Gunther. This is the reason behind that footmark.
