Sebastian Haller Medical Update: Dortmund’s newly acquired striker diagnosed with testicular cancer

Former West Ham United and Ajax Amsterdam striker, Sebastian Haller, 28, joined German giants Borussia Dortmund at the beginning of this summer transfer window and was seen as a potential successor to former striker Erling Haaland, who left the Dortmund side for Manchester City.

The Ivorian striker spent an impressive campaign with Ajax last season and thus attracted the attention of Dortmund to enfranchise him this summer, but a recent medical condition left the forward out of the squad for an indefinite time period.

What really happened to Sebastian Haller?

Sebastian Haller is the kind of player who can easily turn into a game changer in crucial moments of a football match, and his scoring ability from impenetrable angles makes him one of the most lethal forwards in European football.

Borussia Dortmund were keen on bolstering their firepower after losing Erling Haaland earlier this season, and therefore, they successfully managed to sign Haller from the Dutch capital with a view to compensating for the loss of the Norwegian.

After being signed by BVB, the striker from Ivory Coast recently went to the pre-season training camp in Switzerland, but some exclusive medical tests reported that Haller might have been carrying a serious cancer-type substance inside his body.

In an official club statement, the club’s Sporting Director Sebastian Kehl commented, “Borussia Dortmund striker Sebastien Haller had to leave the BVB training camp in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland early due to illness and has already travelled back to Dortmund.”

Later, Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that Sebastian was diagnosed by Testicular Cancer.

Sebastian Haller’s condition came as a shock to both his family and club officials, but they are continuously supporting the talented striker in every situation possible.

Dortmund’s Sporting Director, Kehl, also assured the fans that the club is doing everything possible to help Sebastien recover from that horrific health issue.

Sebastien Haller has yet to receive the chance to play for Dortmund in a football match after joining BVB, and then this awful news stunned the fanbase once again.
