The player’s comment on the game did not age well for him as NBA fanatics were quick to clock the irony of the Wizards’ player’s statement.

Kyle Kuzma, a smart businessman and a very socially interactive player, got caught in a social media roasting session as he shared his candid thoughts regarding a scoreline during the game between the Boston Celtics and the Detroit Pistons.

While the Pistons were absolutely desperate to gain their first victory in over 28 games, Kuzma referred to the fact that the Boston Celtics would not want to be the team that the Pistons get their victory against.

Addressing the score which read 66-47 at the end of the 2nd quarter, Kuzma chipped in saying, “At this point its like “don’t be that team””. The comment by the player, however, did not sit right with the NBA Twitter community who reminded the player that the Wizards weren’t doing too well themselves.

Eventually, as the star suggested, the Celtics ended up gaining a gritty victory over the valiant Pistons in a game that went to the final seconds of regulation time. However, the young Pistons couldn’t keep up with the flourishing prowess of Jayson Tatum and Co. in overtime.

The Washington Wizards, led by young stars Kyle Kuzma and former Warriors player Jordan Poole, have had a brutal season which is going completely under the radar because of the Detroit Pistons. Sitting just above the Pistons in seeding, the Wizards have a win-loss record of 5-25 and are on a three-game losing streak themselves.

Considering their performances this season, the comments from the Wizards’ star seemed a bit too hypocritical which the NBA community did not fail to highlight in their repartees to Kuzma.
