The Madrid Masters features eight of the best Valorant teams from four different regions of the world. The winner will get prize money of $500,000 and 3 VCT points, which will come in handy as they go into the finals event later this year.
Sentinels continue their winning ways in the Madrid Masters 2024 in their second match. A second consecutive win has now put them in the playoffs. They would clearly like to continue their good form and aim for a direct qualification for the finals of the VCT Madrid Masters.
Sentinels have qualified for Valorant Madrid playoff
In their second match of the Madrid Masters, the Sentinels beat Karmine Corps by a scoreline of 2-1. Sentinels dominated the first game, where they won 13 rounds and Karmine only got 8. Sentinels won the next round too, but this was more competitive than before at 13-11.
TenZ led the Sentinels in both matches with a combined 42 kills. His impressive kill ratio of 1.45 differentiated the two teams, as Sentinels took a huge lead in the first map. Zekken was impressive too, with 20 kills in the first round, and provided great support to TenZ.
The Sentinels beat Team Heretics in their opening match with a scoreline of 2-1. TenZ and Zekken were the stars of the show in that match too. Zellsis provided important contributions in the first round to pull things back in his team’s favor.
The North American team gets a few days of rest before they play the Upper Bracket Semifinals. If they continue the same level of dominance, there’s only three good matches to go before we get the winners of the Madrid Masters.
Sentinels vs Karmine Corp sets VCT Madrid 2024 record-breaking viewership
The match was already hyped due to the sensational performances of the Sentinels. The official viewer’s numbers just confirmed that. A total of 869,906 people watched this match, breaking the record for those who watched the first match of the Sentinels.
Earlier this month, the finals of the VCT America kickoffs got more than 800,000 viewers. Sentinels were crowned the champions, and it is no surprise we are looking at insane viewership in their matches in the current tournament.
The first match of the Madrid Masters recorded more viewership than the Tokyo Masters. If the trend continues and Sentinel marches on to the concluding stage, expect the viewership to cross the magical 1 million mark.
