LeBron is 38 years old now but is still going strong. Although many people do not consider him to be a top 10 player in the NBA currently, they still know that LeBron’s basketball IQ is just as sharp as ever. Lakers legend and hall of famer Shaquille O’Neal aka “Dr Shaq,” has revealed LeBron’s desired goals.
LeBron James’ ultimate ambition revealed by Shaq
LeBron James has always been an ambitious player which has helped him achieve great heights. Shaq who had helped the Los Angeles Lakers to win three championships, wants the Lakers led by LeBron James to win more.
Shaq has claimed that he knows what LeBron’s ultimate ambition is. Talking to SportsCenter on ESPN, he spoke about LeBron saying, “He already has the most points, so he’s passed up Kareem. He wants to take it to where the record will never be broken for the next 67 years. I know exactly what he’s doing.”
Shaq believes that the Lakers have to focus on playing well and win the championship again. He is one of the many Lakers fans who wants the LA Lakers to win and overpower the Denver Nuggets in the coming season.
Shaq wants the Lakers to give an answer to the Denver Nuggets Coach Michael Malone. The Nuggets have been a little too involved in the trash talks against the $5.9 Billion Lakers franchise. This has enraged Shaq as he does not like it when anyone disrespects the Lakers, the franchise whom he had helped win 3 championships.
Even LeBron James promptly took to Instagram to give a well-deserved answer to his former Cleveland Cavaliers coach, Michael Malone. “Enjoy your light but just know I’m the SUN. I stay on forever!”, LeBron wrote. The trash talk against LeBron and the Lakers haven’t reduced their confidence. The Lakers still want to win it all and will try their best to emerge victorious in their matches against the Nuggets.
LeBron’s Lakers performance
The Lakers have so far won 2 out of their three preseason games. LeBron’s shooting form looks even better than before which will surely be a blessing for the Lakers.
In their matchup against the Brooklyn Nets, LeBron played for 17 minutes and scored 10 points. The entire Lakers team played well and defeated the Nets with a score of 129-126. Austin Reaves is getting better with time and the other players like Christian Wood, Gabe Vincent and D’Angelo Russell seem to have found their pace.
They are playing with energy and aggression and are looking quite good. However, both LeBron James and Anthony Davis will have to stay healthy in order to solidify their championship aspirations in the coming season.
