After the Golden State Warriors celebrated their recent visit to The White House, one guest stood out among the crowd. It was none other than Shaquille O’Neal’s ex-wife Shaunie Henderson, who visited to commemorate an important milestone in Black history.
The Golden State Warriors, having secured their fourth title in just eight years, returned to The White House. Once again, Stephen Curry and his teammates stood on the podium. President Joe Biden praised the franchise’s basketball as a representation of America.
Undoubtedly, this is one of the most significant honors in any NBA star’s career. Several weeks later, Shaunie Henderson, the ex-wife of Shaquille O’Neal, has also made her way to the location.
Recently, history was made in US politics as the prosperous state of Maryland appointed Wes Moore as its new governor. As a Democrat, Moore became the first black man to hold this position. He is only the third African-American elected governor in US history.
This was a significant moment that warranted a celebration. The President of the United States arrived in Maryland to deliver a speech on Moore’s accomplishments.
In recognition of this incredible moment, Wes Moore received an invitation to The White House. There he was joined by Shaquille O’Neal’s ex-wife Shaunie and her husband Keion Henderson.
Moore’s election as governor was a significant milestone, as, in 246 years, Maryland had never before had a Black governor. Much like Stephen Curry and the Warriors, this victory felt more significant than just a win. It was a crucial event in the history of US politics.

She wrote in her caption, “A memorable evening at the White House as a guest of the President & Dr. Jill Biden, what a beautiful fellowship with History making the first Black Governor of the great state of Maryland.”
