“Shut up and come down here” Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri cautions fans for harassing players during Serie A clash vs Fiorentina

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has recently confronted a fan for abusing the Juventus players. The fan was seen abusing several players during Juventus’ Seria A match against Fiorentina and Allegri was clearly not pleased.

Juventus are currently ninth in the Seria A table after being hit with a 15-point deduction last month by the Italian authorities for financial irregularities. They did however win against Fiorentina 1-0 thanks to an Adrien Rabot strike. This was not the highlight of the game, however.

A fan in the crowd directed an insult at Moise Kean which made the Italian manager snap at the fan. Walking to the stands Allegri shouted, “Shut up and come down here,”

He then kept shouting and pointing toward the supporters before his technical staff members came to cool him off. The moment happened when Gaetano Castrovilli scored an equalizer which led fans to get angry and frustrated although the goal was later called offside and canceled by VAR.

Allegri spoke after the game about his loss of temper and called the fan ‘disrespectful’.

Allegri said to DAZN, “They are Juventus players, we need all of them, I don’t like people coming to the stadium ready to jeer at one or another player, that is disrespectful.

“By all means, jeer when we do badly, but not ahead of time.”

In the post-game

press conference, he added, “I am disappointed because most of the crowd is helping the team, then there are a few who decide a player is poor regardless of performance and jeers, like Moise Kean, Mattia De Sciglio and at times Leandro Paredes too.”

Allegri clearly feels that the fans need to give the team support in such a difficult time for the club. They were in the third position before the points deduction. Allegri believes he can still turn around the season despite the points deduction.

Juventus have had several problems this season. Paul Pogba has still not played a single game since rejoining the club in the summer as he is still injured. This led both fans and board members to become frustrated and reportedly they want to terminate his contract already. Juventus may also have to offload several players to reduce their wage bill. Leandro Paredes, Angel Di Maria, and some others may have to leave the club.

On the pitch, Juventus lack a threat in attack. They were recently humbled 5-1 by league leaders Napoli. Juventus last won the league in 2021 after winning the Scudetto for nine consecutive seasons.
