Jon Jones is eyeing for a return at UFC 282 after being absent. Jones wants his return bout to be against none other than Stipe Miocic, but he has no say in this. Although he still didn’t respond, the former light heavyweight champion is looking forward to Miocic’s decision.
With UFC 282 looming in the background, the former UFC light heavyweight champion is looking for a return. He put on weight and now he is getting into the heavyweight division to compete. Although he has yet to have his debut fight at the heavyweight divison, Jones has already targeted his next opponent, No. 2 UFC heavyweight ranking fighter, for the next bout.
Unfortunately for Jones, Stipe remained silent and didn’t respond back, but the 35-year-old is hopeful. Earlier, the former two-time light heavyweight champion tweeted, “I’m preparing to fight Stipe on December 10 in Las Vegas.” I’m not really sure what’s going on between Stipe and the UFC, but I’m ready to compete! I’m going to control what I can and stay in shape. ”

It’s a challenge to keep the body weight in shape for a long time. As “Bones” is doing right now while searching for someone to challenge. If things don’t go well for the former heavyweight champion, then it will just waste more time for him. Unless something drastic happens in the next few weeks, Jones may have to wait a little longer for his heavyweight debut in the UFC.
But, for the time being, it appears that the American MMA fighter will do anything to ensure that his return occurs at UFC 282. Then the question arises, whom he’s going to fight against? There is some possibility of him fighting against the undisputed heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou. Although UFC president Dana White does not expect Jones to return until mid-2023.
