According to Sportico, Sports Business Journal, CBS Sports, and ESPN, Snyder will hedge Harris for $6 billion.
Snyder stirred up controversy due to various past incidents surrounding sexual harassment, financial impropriety, and obstructions against the franchise, forcing him to consider opting out of the ownership.
The sale would end a tumultuous 24-year ownership reign under Snyder including NFL investigations and Congressional inquiries after purchasing it from Jack Kent Cooke in 1999.
The commanders showcased incredible performance under the ownership of Jack as they went to five Super Bowls and grabbed three of them, the team lost their charms under Snyder’s ownership as they managed to make six playoff appearances in 24 seasons and didn’t advance past the divisional round of the playoffs.
As the acquisition of the Commanders by Harris group progresses towards completion, fans eagerly await the outcome of the NFL review. If approved, the ownership could mark a new chapter for the team, with hopes of a brighter future and renewed enthusiasm among fans.
