While Taylor Swift is always considered a lucky charm for Travis and the Chiefs, the game against the Raiders has shifted the narrative, especially for sports analyst Skip Bayless.
Bayless raises concerns over Travis Kelce’s performance
Skip Bayless raised concerns about Travis Kelce’s performance in the Christmas Day game. The host of Fox’s ‘Undisputed’ suggested that it’s time to label Taylor Swift as a distraction to the Chiefs and the TE.
“Feels like it’s about time to call Taylor Swift a distraction,” he posted to Twitter. “What do you think, Patrick? Andy? How about you, Travis?”
He addressed individuals involved with the team, including Patrick, Andy Reid (head coach), and Travis Kelce himself. But not everyone agreed with Bayless, and some still believes that Taylor has nothing to do with how the TE performs in the game.
After the game, Taylor was seen consoling Brittany, the wife of Patrick Mahomes, who was visibly upset and shell-shocked. This marked the second loss that the Chiefs experienced with Taylor Swift in attendance.
Taylor Swift and Brittany have developed a close friendship since their high-profile relationship began with the TE. They wore matching red Santa hats for the Christmas Day game, with personalized embroidery representing Kelce’s jersey number ’87’ and Mahomes’s number ’15.’

Taylor Swift’s parents, Scott and Andrea Swift, were seen interacting with Travis Kelce’s dad, Ed Kelce, at the game.
Ed Kelce, wearing a Kelce jersey, stood with his back to the camera, while Scott and Andrea Swift were fully engaged in conversation. Both Taylor Swift and her mom donned festive Santa hats during the game. Scott represented the home team’s colors by wearing a black and red puffer coat.
Taylor Swift brought her parents to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, during the Christmas Day game. Her brother Austin also attended the game and made a notable appearance on the jumbotron in a full Santa Claus outfit.
Unfortunately, the TE’s mom, Donna Kelce, couldn’t join the family affair as she was in Philadelphia supporting son Jason Kelce, who plays for the Eagles and had a game on Christmas Day. It seemed to be the first time that the parents of the pop icon and the TE had met each other.
Despite being their first meeting, Swift has spent considerable time with the Kelces since she started dating Travis over the summer. While it’s unclear when Travis first met Taylor’s mother, he met Scott (Taylor’s father) in November during an Eras Tour stop in Argentina. They had dinner together and watched the concert the following night, and Scott was seen proudly wearing a Chiefs lanyard, indicating his support for the couple.
While it was a great family meeting, the game disappointed everyone. The Chiefs currently have a shaky record of 9-6. They need to win the next two regular-season games for a strong finish.
