A new rumor in the soccer world is circulating that Tottenham Hotspurs’ Head Coach Antonio Conte is offering his services to the PSG club following the announcement of their sacking of HC Mauricio Pochettino. The rumor gets momentum once a Parisian news outlet, Le Parisienne, confirms Pochettino’s dismissal and Conte’s sentiments about coaching PSG.
The 52-year-old HC has signed a contract with the Spurs of managing the team till the summer of 2023. Before that, he also successfully managed the English club Chelsea for two years in the Premier League. As a result, Antonio Conte is not currently available to get on with the French club. Fans have come to social media criticizing his interest in PSG while still being engaged with another team.
It all started when word of Pochettino, the dismissal of the former Tottenham Hotspurs coach, spread quickly on the internet. The Argentine was appointed roughly a year ago after Thomas Tuchel was sacked. Since then, the HC has struggled to prove his worth to netizens and others. However, following the defeat to Real Madrid, the club’s management stated that he will no longer be coaching at PSG.
Especially given the fact that Pochettino had previously expressed doubts about his future with the squad following the defeat. Conte wanted to fill the position for HC since it was vacant and there was a lot of pressure on him because of the Champions League.
According to reports, the French ex-midfielder and former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is on their shortlist to replace Pochettino.
