“Steph did what Steph does” – LeBron James Explains The Olympic Stephen Curry

With their highly built, star-studded roster, it was obvious that Team USA would win gold in the 2024 Paris Olympics. The excitement was off the charts when LeBron James and Stephen Curry teamed up for the first time on the Olympic stage.

Recently, LeBron reflected on how superior it was to get to know Curry both as a teammate and as a person, referring to him as the guy who puts everybody to sleep.

Stephen Curry made his Olympic debut in 2024 with a slow start but shined when it mattered most. In the semifinals and finals, he scored 32 and 24 points. LeBron James praised Curry’s ability to perform under pressure and felt honored to play alongside him.

In an interview with Golic the four-time NBA champion said, “He had played in the World Championships before, but being part of the Olympic Games for the first time, it was new to him.

James further added, “I knew the onslaught was coming, knew the barrage and the avalanche was going to happen at some point…Steph did what Steph does, hitting those big-time shots and putting everybody to sleep.”

LeBron now admires Stephen Curry, which is interesting because the two used to be bitter rivals. When they played together, it seemed like a heated competition. Following Curry’s latest confession, everything got more transparent.

Steph Curry confesses feelings about LeBron James

Stephen Curry and LeBron James have been fierce competitors for the last 15 years, pushing one another and winning over fans. It’s difficult to forget how intense their games were, especially when LeBron was trying to win a title in Cleveland. So Curry seems to have a strong disdain for the 39-year-old, as he just expressed in an interview with USA Today.

He said, “I played with some of them; I’ve been teammates. Others, I played against for years and liked them, didn’t like them all the way through. But we created friendships and bonds through this experience that I will forever be grateful for.”
