Stephen A. Smith makes bold pledge if Knicks hoist championship after NBA GM’s shocking prediction

It seems the New York Knicks have a huge fan in Stephen A. Smith. Stephen A, ESPN analyst and host of “The Stephen A Smith Show” on YouTube, one entertaining fellow. His way of speaking combined with his use of hilarious facial expressions make him one of ESPN’S best and funniest Analysts.

Stephen A is also a big New York Knicks fan as he hails from New York. He gets excited whenever he talks about the Knicks, especially when there is some good news for Knicks fans. He believes that he and his fellow New York Knicks fans will not have to wait for long to witness the success that they want their team to achieve.

SAS holds strong on New York Knicks pledge

Stephen A. Smith strongly believes that the New York Knicks have the potential of winning a championship. In a week-closing edition of “First Take,” Smith was presented with the idea of either Jalen Brunson, Joel Embiid, or Trae Young earning an NBA title and who would do so first. Smith picked Brunson to emerge victorious first, over the other young stars.

“I don’t know if the Philadelphia 76ers are going to be able to get Embiid the requisite help that he needs,” Smith declared. “I certainly don’t believe in Young’s Atlanta Hawks in terms of championship contention. So I’m going to go with the Knicks,” Smith gave an honest reply.

Adding Jalen Brunson has greatly improved and benefited the Knicks. Brunson signed a four-year $104 million contract with the Knicks. Brunson had helped push the Knicks to their first playoff series victory since 2013.

Stephen A Smith was previously dissatisfied by Julius Randle’s playoffs performance against the Heat. Although Randle had 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field, he was charged with six fouls and turnovers each. Randle also drew a lot of heat when he said in his postgame comments that maybe the Heat wanted to win more fiercely than them.

All this enraged Stephen A who said that the Knicks should part ways with Randle. “I think they should trade him,” Smith said in a discussion with fellow panelist JJ Reddick and host Victoria Arlen. “From a talent perspective, particularly come playoff time, I’d rather have Karl-Anthony Towns than Julius Randle.”

Although the Knicks got eliminated by the Miami Heat in last season’s playoffs, they did perform well in the regular season. This is the reason why Stephen A. is optimistic for the Knicks and believes that they have a chance to win a championship.
