The Golden State Warriors were on a three-game losing streak before playing the 76ers. They broke the streak with a win but then lost to Cleveland, the best team this season. Now their record is 16-16. The biggest problem is that Stephen Curry is not pleased with the team’s performance.
Following a disappointing 113-95 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night, Stephen Curry candidly admitted that the Golden State Warriors are currently a “mediocre” team. In a post-game press conference, Curry acknowledged the team’s struggles.
He said, “I can say we’re very mid right now, which is very average. And I think we understand that better days can be ahead. You’re not in that big of a hole to watch the converse. If you look at the standings, you go on a five- or six-game run.”
Curry added, “You can make up a lot of ground pretty quickly. And it’s a tough task but that fine line between losing hope and confidence and understanding one good week you’re kind of back in it. That’s where we are.”

The Warriors, who started the season with a promising 12-3 record, have since gone 4-13, dropping their overall record to 16-16. Curry’s performance in the game against the Cavaliers was below his usual standards, as he scored only 11 points on 4-14 shooting from the field.
Stephen Curry’s honest reply to Michael Jordan’s Hall of Fame statement
In 2019, Michael Jordan told NBC’s Craig Melvin that Stephen Curry was a “great player” but not yet a Hall of Famer. Curry responded to these comments in an interview with Matt Welty from Sole Collector.
He said, “I know I have more to prove to myself. When you hear a guy like that, who’s the greatest of all time, it’s kind of funny… It’s a great conversation for the fans to get in on. I know I’m in good shape for that, but I still have a lot to prove to myself.”
