At 36 years old, 11-time All-Star Stephen Curry is getting closer to retirement. While it’s almost certain he will retire as a Warrior, recent salary caps for Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, and Curry have made things challenging for the team.
This could affect the roster in the future. However, for now, Curry isn’t leaving the Warriors, and he is expected to finish his career with them. Recently, he shared his thoughts about how he wants to retire.
In an interview with TK Show, Stephen Curry talked about his future retirement. When asked how he wants to end his career, Curry said he doesn’t want it to be like Kobe Bryant’s last years with the Lakers.
Bryant, who spent his whole career with the Lakers, had a tough final season. Even though he had a great 60-point farewell game, the Lakers finished with a terrible 17-65 record.
Curry sees this as a warning and hopes for a better ending to his career. He hopes to keep his team strong and make sure his final games are exciting and meaningful.

Stephen Curry opens up about Jimmy Butler’s early struggles
Stephen Curry recently talked about Jimmy Butler’s early struggles since joining the team. In an interview with NBC Bay Area’s Raj Mathai, Curry explained the challenges Butler faced fitting into the Warriors.
Butler, who was traded to the Warriors earlier this season, had a hard start. He played just five minutes in his first game before getting too tired. Curry said Butler was not in good shape for a game because he hadn’t played real basketball in almost a month.
Comparing Jimmy with himself, Curry told the Athletic’s Anthony Slater, “He’s like the exact opposite player of me, which is kind of funny. I shot 16 threes. He shot one. He got to the free-throw line a lot, dominated the paint. I’m dominating the outside, the perimeter. Guys working around us.
