Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is starting his 16th NBA season. Drafted seventh overall by the Warriors in 2009, he has become one of the greatest players ever. Throughout his journey, his wife, Ayesha Curry, has been by his side.
Together, they form one of the most beloved power couples in sports. Recently, they celebrated a significant milestone in their charity efforts.
Ayesha and Stephen Curry founded the Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation in 2019. This charity’s main goals are to feed kids and give them study materials, among other things. They just celebrated a significant achievement in their mission to help families.
On Monday, they announced on their foundation’s Instagram that they are partnering with MasterClass to gift 16,000 memberships to educators in the Oakland and San Francisco Unified School Districts.
In the video of the post, Stephen said, “It’s national literacy month, and we want to take a moment to celebrate and thank teachers for the critical role they play in helping our students learn, grown, and improve their skills.”
But that’s not all! Ayesha Curry recently dropped a truth bomb about her career shift, in which she’s planning to go full-time.
Stephen Curry’s wife embraces full-time motherhood
Four months ago, Stephen and Ayesha Curry welcomed their fourth child, Caius, on May 11, 2024. And so, with surprise recently, the 35-year-old shared an exciting career announcement on Instagram, ready to balance motherhood with her professional dreams.
She wrote, “Mat leave is over. Mom tried to get it together. Thanks to the glam squad making the first day back easy breezy. 😝” Ayesha is not just a mom; she’s a chef, restaurateur, author, actress, TV host, and model—so she has a lot on her plate.
With four kids, the Curry family needs a full-time mom, especially since Stephen Curry will be busy with the upcoming NBA season. So, Ayesha’s choice to step away from her entrepreneurial ventures to focus on pregnancy and caring for Caius makes perfect sense.
