The Golden State Warriors are in a tough spot, having missed the playoffs three times in the last five years. With Klay Thompson now traded to the Dallas Mavericks, the pressure is on Stephen Curry to carry the team alone. Many have questioned many times if Steph plans to retire as a Warriors, and recently, he addressed this again, giving a polite but clear response.

Steph Curry has expressed his desire to retire as a Golden State Warrior, revealing his plans in a recent interview with TODAY. In response to the question, “Are you going to retire as a Golden State Warrior?” Curry replied, “I Hope so, for sure. I mean, I’ve been there. Going into my 16th year, and I always said it’s a goal of mine to finish my career.”

He further reflected on his journey with the Warriors, saying, “You know, with that organization, that’s seen me go through the ranks and accomplish amazing things with, you know, Draymond. I know Klay is not with us anymore, but I wanna keep winning, obviously. And I know we have hopefully some days ahead doing that. So, definitely wanna be there.”

At 36 years old, Steph Curry isn’t thinking about retirement just yet, but he’s already looking ahead to life after basketball. For him, becoming an NBA owner someday is definitely on the table.

Stephen Curry wants to be an NBA owner in future

Ten-time NBA All-Star Steph Curry recently talked to CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” about what he wants to do after hoops. Already at the age of 36, Curry is managing several endeavors, including his media company, his youth golf tour, Underrated, etc.

With an eye toward the future, Curry said, “For me, that’s definitely on the table. I think I could do a pretty good job of helping sustain how great the NBA is right now and what it takes to run a championship organization.”

Curry just signed a new deal worth $62.6 million that keeps him with the Warriors for three more years. We still don’t know if he gives up after that or not. However, fans will have a few more years to enjoy Curry, the player before they see Curry as the NBA owner.
