The treat of the holiday season, the Christmas Day games concluded earlier this day with Stephen Curry and the Warriors taking on the defending champions, Denver Nuggets in one of the fixtures for the thrilling day.
The Nuggets showed their fighting prowess as they beat the gritty Warriors 120-114 at home. While the Nuggets snapped the Warriors’ 4-game win streak, Stephen Curry continued his dry run in the annual festive fixture.
Stephen Curry continues his Christmas game slump
The two-time MVP and one of the finest players of the game continued his bizarre streak of underperforming in the NBA Christmas Games. Playing in probably one of hardest away courts in the league, Curry had a night to forget as he failed to lead his side to victory.
Against the reigning champions, the Warriors’ superstar scored 18 points while having 4 assists. His shots were inexplicably off as he shot 7 off 21 from the field and 3 for 13 from deep.
However, underperforming in the annual Christmas is nothing new for the sharpshooter. He has had a long run of abysmal outings for the December 25 fixture dating back to 2010 when he scored just 4 points while shooting 2 for 15 in a win against the Portland Trailblazers. His then teammate, Monta Ellis, however had a great night with 39 points and 7 assists.
In recent memory, Curry had his best Christmas in 2021 against the Phoenix Suns when he scored 33.
Against the Nuggets, the Warriors were led in scoring by Andrew Wiggins who shot 7 for 11 from the field, scoring 22 points and having two assists and three rebounds.
Reacting to the game, a very disappointed Curry called for consistent refereeing throughout games and also suggested that the refereeing in the game against the Nuggets was catered to the guys that can sell fouls to the game officials.

Another wrote, “He is just not built for big stages moments”
“Itâs because on Christmas he has to think about his family and his wife cheats on him”, another netizen wrote.
Curry and the Warriors will hope to get back on track in their upcoming fixture against the Miami Heat on December 28 in San Francisco, California at the Warriors’ home court, the Chase Center.
