Taylor Swift donates $100,000 to Lisa Lopez-Galvan
Taylor Swift generously donated $100,000 to the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan via a GoFundMe page. Initially aiming to raise $75,000, the fund exceeded expectations, reaching over $200,000 by Friday morning.
Swift’s contributions, totaling $100,000, were confirmed by her representative. Alongside the donations, Swift expressed her heartfelt condolences to the family, stating, “Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift.”
Taylor Swift herself was not present in the parade as she is now continuing her Eras Tour in Australia, but she has continuously been involved in the NFL, offering support in various situations. A few weeks ago, her fandom also raised funds for Tyler Bass who faced criticism and received death threats from his fans.
Besides Lisa Lopez-Galvan, twenty-two others were injured during the Super Bowl Parade Shooting, out of which nine were children. The investigation is continuing, and the prosecutor promised that they will make sure the people responsible for the incident are punished accordingly.
Lisa Lopez-Galvan was a radio DJ in Kansas City
Lisa Lopez-Galvan who died during Super Bowl Parade Shooting was a 44-year-old mom of two. She was also a radio show DJ in Kansas City and was known as the “office jokester.” Her friends and colleagues shared that she was full of life and a passionate music lover.
Every Tuesday night she used to appear at “A Taste of Tejano” show on KKFI radio 90.1 FM. She used to play Tejano music and was popular for her music taste and lively personality.
“It is with sincere sadness and an extremely heavy and broken heart that we let our community know that KKFI DJ Lisa Lopez, host of Taste of Tejano lost her life,” KKFI said in a statement shared. “This senseless act has taken a beautiful person from her family and this KC Community.”
She was also a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and came to the Parade to celebrate their victory with her husband, daughter, and son. Her son also got injured during the mass shooting. Fortunately, he is better now.
“We are heartbroken with the loss of our loved one, Elizabeth ‘Lisa’ Lopez-Galvan, who was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many,” the Lopez-Galvan family said in a statement Thursday.
Lisa Lopez-Galvan was also actively involved in community services and used her social media accounts for fundraising and other such initiatives.
Kansas City has lost a gem of a person. Not only Lisa’s family, but the entire NFL community is saddened by this tragic incident. Fans are waiting for the culprits to get arrested and face the consequences of their senseless actions.
