Star players always want to motivate their fans before playing a big match. Travis Kelce did the same thing before the mega event this year.
A man like Rocky Balboa is not to be trifled with. This is the statement from tight end Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs is delivering to the fans before their game against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.
A strange practice has developed wherein the Eagles’ playoff opponents’ colours unexpectedly materialize on the famous Rocky monument. Of course, vandalism is usually counterproductive for those who engage in it.
The NFC Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers provides enough proof of this. The Eagles cruised to a 31-7 victory despite a last-second 49ers jersey being put on the Rocky monument. Since the Chiefs are up next, Kelce wants to make sure nobody touches the Rocky statue in preparation for the game.

“Right now, Chiefs (fans), do not touch the f—ing Rocky memorial,” Kelce stated on his “New Heights” podcast. “Do not do that, alright? Definitely don’t put an 87 on there. Do not do that.”
Insightful Eagles offensive lineman and brother of Travis Kelce, Jason Kelce, believes the ongoing vandalism of the Rocky monument is being orchestrated from the inside out.
“I am convinced there is a Philadelphia fan who is putting these shirts on the Rocky statue just to get everybody all fired up, and it’s working,” Jason Kelce explained. “It’s working tremendously, so keep doing it.”
Rocky has worn the uniforms of the New York Giants, the New England Patriots, and the Minnesota Vikings all throughout the years. The Eagles were victorious on each occasion.
Super Bowl LVII is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, February 12, so people will get to witness whether any red and yellow make their way onto the Rocky Statue in time.
