Conor McGregor made a presence at Game 4 of the NBA Finals and garnered significant attention when the Irish former champion struck the Miami Heat’s mascot during half-time. Seemingly as part of a promotional stunt for a pain relief spray he was endorsing.
According to reports, the individual portraying the mascot, whose identity remains undisclosed, was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment following the incident.
Since suffering a left leg injury in his defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. McGregor has not participated in any fights. His most recent victory dates back to January 2020.

Conor finds himself embroiled in a significant controversy as recent accusations of sexual assault have surfaced. The alleged incident took place during Game 4 of the NBA Finals on June 9, 2023, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
As per Ariel Mitchell, the attorney representing the accuser, the purported incident occurred after the conclusion of the game. Allegedly, the victim was separated from her friend by NBA and Miami Heat security staff, who subsequently guided her into a men’s restroom.
Inside, they encountered Conor and his security team, already present in the restroom. According to the attorney’s statements, ‘The Notorious’ then reportedly coerced the victim into engaging in non-consensual oral sexual activity.
Chandler casts doubt over allegations with recent tweet
Michael Chandler, who served as his rival coach on the reality show The Ultimate Fighter, has shared his perspective on the situation. ‘Iron’ has openly expressed skepticism regarding the veracity of the allegations, casting doubt on the credibility of the claims.
In a recent Q&A session, the former lightweight title contender voiced his thoughts, saying: “Very fishy details.”

The seriousness of the allegations against the former UFC champion has been acknowledged by the Miami Police Department, prompting them to initiate an investigation into the matter.
In a similar vein, the NBA released a statement affirming their collaboration with the Miami Heat to gather relevant information. The City of Miami Police confirmed the commencement of an official investigation.
Acknowledging the situation, the UFC issued a statement, acknowledging their awareness of the allegations leveled against Conor McGregor. They stated their commitment to gathering all necessary facts and information pertaining to the case.
