The NFL GOAT Tom Brady was the apple of everyone’s eye when he was on the field, and now even after hanging up the boots, the five-time Super Bowl MVP is continuously hitting the headlines, sometimes former teammates recalling memories with him, sometimes for his personal activity.
Brady took a u-turn and returned to the field after announcing retirement for the very first time, albeit the 15-time Pro Bowler once again declared retirement in February this year, exactly one year after the initial one and never came back to glorify the NFL field again.
What did former Patriots teammate praise about Tom Brady?
During an appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show”, former New England Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Meyers recalled his memories of meeting the illustrious NFL star Tom Brady for the first time.
“Honestly, that was kind of a cool moment. It wasn’t really a full conversation, but I remember my first time seeing him”, Meyers said.
Meyers was an undrafted player then, yet Brady knew the names of all the undrafted players name and it was surely an overwhelming moment for the 26-year-old.
“He came in the locker room, and he knew all the guys’ names. I mean, I was an undrafted guy when we had all types of players on that team that year. Just for him to know all the undrafted players’ names, he knew all of our names and he showed love to us so, I definitely appreciate him for that”, the WR stated.
Meyers got the opportunity to play with Brady only in one season as the TB12 left the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after that.
The six-foot-2, 200-pound was drafted by the Patriots after being undrafted in the 2019 draft and enjoyed 4 years with the team with a pretty impressive run, albeit the team decided to let him go at the end.
The Patriots free agent signed a 3-year, $33 million deal with the Las Vegas Raiders including $21 million guaranteed and the move will reunite him with the Raiders coach Josh McDaniels, who was Meyers’ offensive coordinator with the Patriots.
