Lionel Messi’s father Jorge Messi has shut down the possibility of Leo’s return to Barcelona as the Argentine’s future is hanging up in the air despite only six months remaining under his contract with PSG.

Jorge Messi was involved in a high-profile legal dispute with FC Barcelona over his son’s contract, which eventually led to Lionel Messi leaving the club and joining Paris Saint-Germain.

Messi moved to PSG back in 2021 after a new deal with Barcelona collapsed due to La Liga’s financial fair play regulations which forced the Blaugrana to set Messi to leave for free.
The Argentine superstar has a contract with PSG which will expire at the end of June and the recent World Cup winner is no interested to sign a new contract with the French club.
There were rumors circulating around Messi’s potential return to Barcelona but as it appeared, it is not completely true as Jorge Messi said, “has a contract with Paris Saint-Germain”.

However, where will the star player will end up is remained in a cast of shadow as the father of the legendary footballer believes “Life takes many turns.”
Lionel Messi’s father Jorge Messi further added, “I don’t think Leo will return to Barcelona. We haven’t met with President Laporta, and we haven’t received any offers from Barcelona at the moment.”
Barcelona is trying everything from their side to bring the biggest legend of the club back to where he belongs, and Messi’s father believed nothing is impossible as they are still not sure about the future of the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner.
