The last remaining member of 2012 TUF Brazil 1 Francisco Trinaldo breaks his ties with UFC

After eleven years, UFC veteran Francisco Trinaldo has finally been released from his contract with the organization. On Wednesday, this was confirmed by UFC officials.

The Brazilian made his debut in the UFC in 2012 against Delson Heleno and got off to a strong start by winning the fight. Since then, he has gone on to become a successful fighter for the promotion. The 44-year-old boxer had a winning record of 4-2 in his last six bouts, including victories against Jai Herbert, Dwight Grant, Danny Roberts, and John Makdessi during the course of two years.

On October 1, 2022, Trinaldo competed against Randy Brown and was defeated by him; now it turns out, this will be remembered as his final bout in the UFC. In addition to this, since the year 2020, one of his other losses has been against Muslim Salikhov. This is a piece of evidence that, despite the fact that he was defeated in his final UFC bout, his last couple of years have not been all that rough.

Francisco Trinaldo in his last UFC fight

The experienced mixed martial artist has competed in 26 bouts across multiple weight classes over the course of his career, which spans more than a decade. During his career in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the lightweight and welterweight fighter has a record of 18 wins and 8 defeats. Out of his all victories, 9 were by knockouts and 5 were by submission.

Another reason to remember Massaranduba is he was the only remaining fighter in the UFC from the 2012 season of TUF Brazil which was the first foreign version of the UFC. In his long career, he had a lot of fans for his fighting prowess and they are sharing goodbyes to this legendary UFC figure.

UFC may have released Francisco Trinaldo but the experienced MMA fighter has not shared any details about his future plans yet.
