Shaquille O’Neal was the most dominating center in NBA history and one of the best players in the NBA universe, therefore he made his own identity easily throughout his playing days. Nowadays, things aren’t that easy to do. Meanwhile, Shaq was effusive in his admiration of the French teenager, Victor Wembanyama.
Shaquille O’Neal expressed he believes that Victor Wembanyama is the finest player in the world, and he has high expectations for him.
Victor Wembanyama made his debut in the United States a few weeks ago, driving everyone into a craze with his enormous height and formidable combination of skills. The Frenchman made waves with his exploits in Europe, but it was not until he arrived in the United States that it became widely accepted that he would be selected first overall in the upcoming draft.
Similarly to the NBA universe, Shaquille O’Neal was blown away by 7-foot-2-inch French youngster Victor Wembanyama, who is almost certain to be the first choice in the 2023 NBA draft.

The NBA Great stated on Victor, “Fabulous player, the sky’s the limit for this guy. At some point, he’s gonna have to take it to each level. When I came in, I was really good. Then somebody said you’ve got to get better. And then finally they said, ‘Shaq’s a great player. But I wanted to become greater than that. And then I wanted to become the greatest, and then I wanted to become the greatest ever. So if he has that mentality, he’ll probably be one of the best players ever.
Shaquille O’Neal may be quick to evacuate players when they underperform, but the Big Machine is also capable of recognizing exceptional play, and he was unable to avoid praising Wembanyama after Victor’s great showings.
