The Suns’ leading scorer Devin Booker’s update following Christmas day injury

Injury is the nightmare of every athlete. When a key player gets injured, the morale of a team automatically goes down. Devin Booker’s name has been listed as a question mark.

The Phoenix Suns traveled to Denver, Colorado, to take on Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets on Christmas Day.

However, star shooter Devin Booker is still doubtful with a groin issue as per injury reports.

Three-time NBA All-Star hasn’t played in the previous three games, but he was fantastic the last time he did.

The former Kentucky star scored 58 points, grabbed six boards, and dished out five assists on 21 field goal attempts in a 118-114 victory against the New Orleans Pelicans on December 17.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN stated that while Booker’s status is still uncertain, he is anticipated to participate.

Wojnarowski posted on Saturday night: “ESPN Sources: Suns star Devin Booker (groin) is expected to return vs. the Nuggets on Sunday (10:30 PM ET on ABC/ESPN). Booker, averaging a career-high 28 points, has missed three consecutive games. Phoenix-Denver caps a five-game Christmas Day lineup.”

The Suns have a 19-14 record after 33 games, good enough for the fourth spot in the Western Conference.

They have lost their previous two games and are 3-7 in their last 10 contests.

However, Phoenix is just 2.0 games behind Denver and Memphis for the Western Conference’s top spot.

Booker has played in 28 games thus far, averaging 28.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists on 47.7% shooting from the field and 37.0% from deep.

The Nuggets, meanwhile, are riding a three-game winning run and have a 20-11 record after 31 games.
