The Undertaker, a legendary wrestler who has ruled the sport for decades, is known for striking fear into his opponents. When word got out that some wrestlers were upset with his views, fans were both surprised and wary. Not long ago, he was reminded of a frightening experience by a brief message from John Bradshaw Layfield.
The Undertaker was criticized after his retirement for claiming that the wrestling business had softened. The WWE legend spoke warmly, recalling the days of his time with JBL and implying that the industry’s hardness molded him.
The Undertaker apologizes to JBL
During his time with WWE, “The Undertaker” was known for having a deadly persona and for making strange entrances into the ring. Fans were surprised when he recently made an appearance on NXT when he defeated Bron Breaker with a Chokeslam.
The Undertaker and JBL, who have been competitors for a very long time, recently reflected on their previous meetings with one another. They squared off against one another in contests like the Last Ride Match at No Mercy in 2004.
JBL was able to retain his WWE Championship by disqualification at the 2004 SummerSlam event; however, The Deadman exacted his revenge by chokeslamming JBL through the top of a limousine. JBL came back with a neck brace and said that someone had committed a crime against him, who was Undertaker.
The future Hall of Famer pleaded with his supporters not to post the event because he believes it constitutes proof of a crime. JBL expressed his concern about The Phenom on Twitter, and The Undertaker quickly replied with an apology consisting of only four words.
WWE stars who suffered injury at the hands of Undertaker
Fighting JBL would be a bad idea anywhere, but particularly on Wall Street. After John Cena concluded his reign as WWE Champion, the former champion JBL went from being a competitive wrestler to a successful financial analyst. JBL left the WWE in 2017, and in 2020 he will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Recently, a fan brought up an injury incident involving The Undertaker.
Several of JBL’s in-ring mishaps were noteworthy, but the one at SummerSlam 2004 involving The Undertaker stands out. JBL departed on a stretcher, cap, and neck brace after being smashed against his own limousine. A Twitter follower brought up the incident, indicating that over two decades later, The Wrestling God still harbors resentment. Undertaker tweeted about the incident as well.
Given that some fans have compared the injury disaster Undertaker caused to JBL to a criminal act, what do you think? Leave your thoughts and feedback below.
