After 31 years on television, WWE is shaking things up by partnering with Netflix to bring Raw to the streaming platform. With this major shift, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson—who still has a lot to prove in the wrestling ring—should make a major mark on Raw’s Netflix premiere.
The Rock could make a huge splash when Raw premieres on Netflix, just like Roman Reigns did on SmackDown. Even though he hasn’t been on WWE TV since April 2024, former WWE worker Tommy Carlucci thinks The Legend will return on January 6, 2025, the day Raw debuts on Netflix.
Carlucci shared this prediction on the Behind The Turnbuckle podcast, saying The Final Boss’s comeback will be a big highlight of Raw’s Netflix launch. He confidently said, “Do you think The Rock is gonna miss the debut of Netflix really? There is no way.”
WrestleMania 40 was full of action. Fans wanted Cody Rhodes, who won the Royal Rumble, to fight Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship instead of The Final Boss. Now that Cody’s dream is fulfilled, he needs to take his place as the “Head of The Table” in the Bloodline story.
Meanwhile, Roman Reigns’ current feud with the new Bloodline will add even more drama before WrestleMania 41.
The Rock vs. Roman Reigns Showdown ready to shake WrestleMania 41
With Cody Rhodes as the champion, a match between Roman Reigns, The Rock, and Cody could be one of the biggest in wrestling history—though it’s not certain if it will happen. Right now, these three R’s are WWE’s biggest crowd-pullers. Besides, the buildup for WrestleMania under Triple H’s leadership has been incredible this year.
Even though this year was supposed to be all about Roman and The Rock, no one knows what The People’s Champion whispered to Cody, as he was the main reason to change the entire plot. But one thing is for sure—The Rock vs. Roman will finally happen at WrestleMania 41, which Triple H hints will be the biggest one yet!
