The WWE Draft is now underway, with the event kicking off on a recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown and continuing on The SmackDown LowDown before moving on to Monday Night RAW.
Fans had high expectations for the draft, with many hoping that Roman Reigns, the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, would remain on the blue brand and that his rival, The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes, would join him there.
However, while Reigns did stay on SmackDown, Rhodes was drafted to RAW instead. This means that their ongoing feud may not be resolved and that Rhodes may not have the opportunity to dethrone Reigns as the Head of the Table. While this outcome may be disappointing for some fans, it’s worth considering whether it’s really the end of the story.

Breaking Down the Highlights of the WWE Draft 2023: Champions Switch Brands and Rivalries Reignite
There are rumors circulating that WWE plans to have a future match between Reigns and Rhodes, which is why they’ve been kept apart for the time being. The draft offers a chance for creative to keep them apart until they’re ready to book the anticipated rematch.
Currently, Rhodes is in a feud with Brock Lesnar, who brutally attacked him on RAW after WrestleMania. The two are scheduled to face off at the Backlash Premium Live Event in Puerto Rico on May 6th.
Moving on to other key highlights of the WWE draft, in the first round, RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair was selected as the second pick for the blue brand. Belair expressed her excitement about returning to SmackDown during a satellite appearance to address her fans.
As part of the WWE Draft 2023, Triple H announced that Becky Lynch will permanently move to RAW. It’s worth noting that the draft will cover half of the roster during this event, and the other half will be drafted on the next episode of Monday Night RAW.
