What did Janibek Alimkhanuly say about his potential fight against Jermell Charlo?
The “Qazaq Style” won the WBO middleweight championship in November by defeating Denzel Bentley. However, the Kazakhstani fighter opted to challenge WBC 160-pound champion Jermall Charlo right away by saying, “I’d have no issue fighting Jermall Charlo for his WBC title.”
With big titles come great challenges in a combat sport like boxing. Janibek has been eager to compete against stronger opponents. As Jermall is the current undisputed light middleweight world champion. Hence, Janibek believes that the American boxer should accept his challenge and compete against him.
“We are both champions. Charlo would be easy work for me. Champions should fight other champions. It’s too bad the other so-called ‘champions’ do not feel that way.” said Janibek.
I am a world champion in amateur and professional boxing. If I said I will beat someone, I will beat him. I can easily beat any world champion. I am the nightmare of champions. I am the most avoided boxer in the world. pic.twitter.com/INX6sKFech

However, it appears that Jermall Charlo isn’t showing any interest in accepting fight offers from other top boxers, including the one from the Kazakh boxer.
As the 32-year-old boxer from Texas is less longer interested in taking on opponents who have even a remote chance of defeating him as his attention is more focused on money fights these days. However, Charlo currently doesn’t have a scheduled fight.
