Little over a month ago, Tim Tszyu achieved one of his biggest victories in professional boxing. Yet Tim shows no indications of slowing down; instead, he is concentrating on Jermell Charlo as his next prey.
The Soul Taker and Tony Harrison squared off in the main event of the Showtime Boxing International on Sunday, March 12, in Sydney, Australia’s Qudos Bank Arena. In the ninth round of his fight against “Super Bad” Tony, the hometown boy easily defeated Tony by TKO. Tim extended his winning streak in professional boxing to 22 fights in route to winning the Interim WBO super welterweight title.

What is Tim Tszyu’s next challenge?
In combat sports with great titles come great challenges. Tim is now looking forward to fighting against more powerful opponents. To step up his game, the Australian boxer has set his sights on world champion Jermell Charlo. The Soul Taker has been hoping to finalize his bout with ‘Iron Man’ for a year now but the American boxer is postponing their bout due to injury.

Tim recently appeared in an interview with Fox Sports where the Interim WBO super welterweight title holder expressed his frustration toward the American boxer.
“How long can you keep postponing a fight? I’m not sure [how bad his injury is]. But the medical reports say [that he should be healed]. I think he understands this isn’t an easy fight for him. And so he wants to be 120 percent ready.” said Tim.

Jermell is the undisputed light middleweight world champion. However, according to Tszyu, the 32-year-old boxer took him lightly. Earlier the American orthodox stance boxer threatened Tim saying he would beat the Sydney boy single-handedly. However, Tim thinks since his dominating performance against Tony, Charlo has changed his mindset which is why their fight is getting postponed.
“Somebody that is going to give me a challenge. I want to keep improving and have that attitude of fear no one, fight anyone. For me, the main factor is growth. Staying active, getting another style in front of me and being able to adapt to anyone.” Tim added.
