The 2023 NFL draft has approached, and like every other team, the Tennessee Titans are also looking for young talents that will shape the future of the franchise.
With the picks this year, the Titans have already chalked out their plan of drafting, and they couldn’t compromise anything in this matter. With the 11th overall pick in the first round, they will start their hunt for raw talents coming from college.
The Titans’ general manager, Ran Carthon, already spoke up about their desire and requirements to choose their future star in the press conference on Monday.
What did the Titans’ GM say?
The 42-year-old took over the responsibility of general manager in January this year, and since then he and his executives have been structuring their plan to appear in the next season in the best possible manner.
In doing so, he expressed a common desire for what the organization needs at this moment in the pre-draft press conference and said, “You know, we’re always looking for good football players. Guys that bring versatility and explosiveness to our team.”

“Guys that can score with the football, and guys that can take the football away, however, that comes,” Carthon added. “That’s what we have been tasked to do, so I don’t think it’s going into it with one specific area of need per se; we just need to continue to add quality players and people to our ball club.”
It’s quite natural for every team to want the best available player to pick, and the Titans are nothing different than their rivals in this aspect. However, as it seems to be a common notion to want good players, their definition of good might be different depending on the roster’s demand.
