Tom Brady has an impressive record of seven Super Bowl championships and is also considered the GOAT of the NFL by many. For players like him, it is rare to have regrets. However, the NFL GOAT has one which he considers the biggest regret of his life.
For many TB12s fans across the globe, this news can bring some solace considering how the superstar who seemingly has everything a man could ask for, also has to live with his fair share of regret.
Tom Brady sheds light on biggest career regret
Brady had an ongoing rivalry with Eli Manning on the field and his biggest regret is also associated with his then-rival. Although he has won many games against Manning, when arguably the most important game came, the tables turned on Tom.
Manning, the former quarterback of the Giants, defeated Brady in Super Bowl XLII. Brady once shared with the media that this defeat stands as the biggest regret of his career.
“It was a month before I really felt back to myself. It was a nightmare. You woke up the next morning… I said, ‘It didn’t happen. There’s no way it happened.'”

This defeat had left a permanent mark on his illustrious career and he never really seem to have gotten over it.
Why did the Patriots lose Super Bowl XLII?
In the XLII Super Bowl, the Patriots were favored by 12 points. They had a 16-0 perfect record during the regular season and, of course, won all of their postseason games to advance. The Giants’ record was 10-6.
The Giants were behind 7-3 going into the final frame. But in the final quarter, they scored 14 points and won the game. It was a 17-14 victory which they snatched from the jaws of defeat.
The fact that Brady can’t get over this loss shows his determination to win every game. It also has some link with his rivalry with Manning, getting defeated by him was obviously not a momentous occasion for the quarterback.
Now that Brady is retired fans can look forward to his new ventures with Fox and as a minority owner of the Raiders.
