Former NFL star wide receiver Antonio Brown has come forward to vehemently deny the allegations made by an Arena Football team against him.
Brown reportedly purchased 47.5% of the Albany Empire, an arena football team, back in March, and he claimed to own about 100% of the franchise hence, the former Bucs WR was held partially responsible for the incident of players and coaches not being paid since April 21st.
Athletes and team staff are expected to get paid every Friday during the season, however, no one received their direct deposit in due time, leading head coach Damon Ware to leave the team.
How did Antonio Brown respond to the missing payment allegations?

The franchise has also suspended six of their best players: wide receiver Darius Prince, quarterback Sam Castronova, offensive lineman Brandon Sesay, offensive lineman Melvin Hollis, defensive back Dwayne Hollis, and linebacker Nick Haag due to an altercation on the team bus.
The sports reporter of News10 ABC Griffin Haas tweeted how he asked Brown if the six players who left the Empire had been paid and the WR replied saying everyone had been paid and to not listen to the “outside noise.”

However, Antonio’s presence with the Albany Empire hasn’t gotten any easier to understand as according to the Albany Times-Union, the former football star doesn’t actually own the franchise and they also provided documents saying Antonio Express Trust Enterprise owns the 95% stake in Empire, with Antonio.
From getting involved with his ex-teammate, Tom Brady, and his ex-wife to facing multiple run-ins with the law, Brown has hit the headlines several times for negative reasons. After finding himself in hot weather due to domestic violence, the 34-year-old was accused of sending explicit videos to his former partner’s son’s phone in January this year.
The situation remains ongoing, and further developments are expected to emerge in the coming days. Many in the Football world may want to see how the veteran receiver handles his controversy this time.
