Tony Romo assesses Taylor Swift’s effect on Travis Kelce, leaving fans in splits

The Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, Travis Kelce has been vibrant in the NFL community for a while now ever since his relationship rumors started to swirl with the pop star Taylor Swift. Numerous media platforms have been buzzing with commentaries from celebrities and fans about their romance.

Recently, former NFL star Tony Romo has also weighed in on the “Taylor Swift effect” which seemed rather wild to fans, as it was contradictory to what most have claimed about the couple.

Tony Romo weighs Swift effect on Kelce

On Sunday, as former Cowboys QB Tony Romo was giving his views on the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers, he also voiced on the well-publicized relationship between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. Swift was present during the game along with Brittany Mahomes to cheer her tight end boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Many said Travis Kelce’s exemplary performance in the game which included 12 receptions, 179 yards, and an additional touchdown was the result of Taylor Swift’s effect. However, Tony Romo was the one individual who seems to be unconvinced by the notion.

Matt Mosley of Fox Sports reported that Romo stated Travis Kelce’s performance is unlikely to be affected by Taylor Swift’s presence in the stadiums, suggesting that the Swift effect may simply be an idealistic idea. Based on a number of beliefs, the former NFL star, Tony may simply be speaking from the standpoint of having dated celebrities like Carrie Underwood and Jessica Simpson before he married his wife Candice.

His comment amused fans as they pointed it as unusual and ironic. The former quarterback said, “This will not affect anything. If anything, he’s probably going to be more methodical with his preparation because he can’t go anywhere.”

Taylor Swift gets Andy Reid approval

Although, the former quarterback Tony Romo thinks otherwise, the Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid gave “Taylor Swift effect” a thumbs up due to the exceptional performance delivered by Travis Kelce on the field that contributed to the dominant display for the Chiefs.

When asked about the pop sensation, Andy Raid said, if anything, he is glad that Taylor Swift is present because under favorable circumstances Travis seems to be doing an outstanding performance during her presence.

The head coach is not wrong when he made the statement. If records are reviewed, when Taylor Swift was absent, the tight end’s score plummeted to 46.5, and he also ended up with an ankle injury, so this fact has not slipped up from fans.

Andy Reid also had good things to say about Taylor Swift as he deemed her as a “good girl”. He expressed always wanting to find a partner for Travis as he mentioned, “I knew her from Philadelphia; her dad was a big NFL fan, so I had met her when she was real young, and her dad. I joked about setting Kelce up, and, you know, I’m just saying!”
