WWE SummerSlam is just around the corner, and the stage is set for the ‘biggest party of the summer’. With massive matches like Roman Reigns vs Jey Uso and Brock Lesnar vs Cody Rhodes taking place, it is shaping up to be an event to remember.
Finn Balor is looking to take the World Heavyweight Championship off of Seth “Freakin” Rollins. The last time Finn was scheduled to challenge for a World Championship at SummerSlam was back in 2021, where his dreams were crushed by 16-time World Champion John Cena. Will that be the case this year as well?
Finn Balor sparks John Cena return speculations
Finn reminded the WWE Universe about the last time he was featured in a contract signing for a World Championship Match at SummerSlam. It was 2021, and Finn was challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. Baron Corbin intervened in the contract signing to take up his spot, ultimately losing it to John Cena.
Although Finn got his chance later at Extreme Rules, he still hopes that Cena does not interfere with his business, or there could be dire consequences.
If @JohnCena shows up again I’m going to be pissed! https://t.co/RsVI68H4fr

This week’s Monday-Night RAW is stacked with a face-off between Drew McIntyre and Gunther en route to their rumored clash at SummerSlam, Logan Paul returning for his high-voltage match with Ricochet, Zoey Stark going head to head with Trish Stratus’ number one rival Becky Lynch, and of course the contract signing between Finn Balor and Seth “Freakin” Rollins. It will be interesting to see how things turn out, especially at the signing ceremony.
Cena to interfere in Judgement Day business?
With Finn trying to make sure that Cena would not be able to interfere with him this time by keeping the Judgment Day around, will Cena accept the invitation and take his chances? To Cena, it sure sounds like another opportunity to become a record-setting 17-time World Champion. With the history Cena and Rollins share at SummerSlam, it will be interesting to see The Visionary have another bout against the Leader of Cenation at the event.
Cena has given rubs to many superstars in recent times, including Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. He was seen filming a backstage promo with Rhea Ripley the last time he returned to ‘Money in the Bank’. He giving a rub to Damian Priest, or “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, can set Judgment Day much higher than ever before.
John Cena’s acting career has touched new heights recently, as he was seen in Fast and Furious 10 and ‘Barbie’. The veteran seems to be following the path of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and has shifted his focus to the silver screen.
