Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr is set to offer an outrageous €200 million offer to Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele that will involve a 5-year contract. Ousmane Dembele has long been rumored to transfer away from the club since his arrival in 2018. But the Frenchman has restored the relationship with the club through his performances.
But now an offer from Al-Nassr for the player is incoming. In recent days, the Saudis have attracted some big talents to the country such as Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, and Roberto Firmino among many others. And it seems they are not stopping any time soon.
Al-Nassr reportedly make staggering €40 million euro per season contact to Ousmane Dembele
As there was speculation about Dembele’s contract at Barcelona, and with the club themselves in deep need of funds, Al-Nassr saw an opportunity. They saw an exciting and pacy young winger who would be a great addition to their sports project.
They have now jumped on the initiative and have decided to offer an outrageous contract. They were willing to meet the low release clause of €50m in his contract. But what they offered the player was bigger. The Frenchman was offered €40m per season, which is way more than the €13m he is being paid at Barcelona now.

They wanted to sign him on a five-year contract, which would mean that he would have earned about €200m over the five years. This is also without considering the added benefits which he would have received like the other players. Considering Dembele is just 26, Al Nassr could have gained a player that would be entering during his prime.
According to Footmercato, however, Dembele has no interest in leaving the Catalans. He has rejected the Saudi offer and will instead prepare to discuss with Barcelona to extend his contract with an improved release clause.
Exploring Ousmane Dembele’s contract with Barcelona
Dembele joined Barcelona in the summer of 2018 for a fee of €105 million from Dortmund. But he did not live up to expectations in the initial years, regularly being injured or having bad patches of form. But under Xavi, Dembele has become better and more focused. He has also regularly featured in the French national team alongside Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann, even starting in the recent 2022 World Cup final.
When Dembele renewed his contract back in 2022, it was done with some specific conditions. He had only signed a two-year extension, which means his deal will expire next summer in 2024. But even this year, he has a release clause that could let him leave early. It is a lowly €50 million. Another twist is that Dembele will receive half of that amount if it is activated.
The reason was Barcelona wanted to keep the player but on their low salary terms. This led the club to allow him the option to leave easily if he wanted, as part of the new deal. Currently, Paris Saint Germain is another club interested in him.
But Dembele is a changed man now and wants to stay in Barcelona. In the next few days, the two parties will meet to agree on a new deal with a better salary. Meanwhile, Al Nassr would have to look to other targets to partner up with Cristiano Ronaldo.
