Two New Championship Plans in Latest WWE ID Program Update

WWE just revealed two new championship titles as part of its WWE ID Program. This program is all about showcasing the best independent wrestling talent. What’s even more exciting is that the program will happen in the same month as WrestleMania 41.

On February 18, Triple H, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, announced two new championships for WWE. They will be part of the ID Program and won’t be seen often on regular WWE TV.

Triple H said the new titles are meant to “spotlight the best of the best” among independent wrestling stars. The Men’s ID Championship has a cool black strap with a bold silver center plate, while the Women’s title has a white strap with a similar design.

Triple H didn’t say where the events would take place, but WWE ID later tweeted that the tournament would kick off in Las Vegas during WrestleMania 41 week. Game Changer Wrestling will hold a show on April 16, and Future Stars of Wrestling will have one on April 18.

Who’s hosting WWE ID tournament opening rounds?

The WWE ID Championship Tournament will begin during WrestleMania week, with GCW and FSW hosting the first rounds.

The development Program, which started last year, focuses on independent wrestlers and helps them get a chance to join WWE. This exciting news makes the already thrilling week for wrestling fans even better.

The following wrestlers are scheduled for the event:

  • Sean Legacy
  • Zayda Steel
  • Ice Williams
  • Jackson Drake
  • Brad Baylor
  • Ricky Smokes
  • Zara Zakher
  • Cappuccino Jones
