UFC commentator Joe Rogan, who has long been a fan of combat sports, recently compared Tyson Fury’s The Gypsy King’ to Mike Tyson and Joe Louis in a popular podcast.
The former ‘Fear Factor host praised WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury during an interview. According to Rogan, Fury, along with Canelo Alvarez, was the most marketable boxer, and his accomplishments were on par with the other heavyweight legends.
According to Joe Rogan, ‘The Gypsy King’ was a monster in his own right, worthy of mention alongside heavyweight legends such as Mike Tyson and Joe Louis.
“I mean, dude Tyson Fury is a fu***g monster. One of the greatest heavyweights of all time unquestioned. If he retires today, Tyson Fury is down as one of the all-time greatest heavyweights. He deserves to be mentioned with Joe Lewis and Mike Tyson. What would happen if those guys would get together and fight Lennox Lewis in his prime? He’s on that level. He’s so good, he’s so big.” He added.
Rogan appears to be impressed by Fury, who has received a lot of flak for his next fight. To complete their trilogy, the Gypsy King will face Derek Chisora in his next fight. The match will be held on December 3 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It was scheduled after Fury’s negotiations with Anthony Joshua for a potential fight fell through.
According to Rogan, the undefeated heavyweight champion is exceptional not only because of his physical advantage but also because he (Tyson Fury) is extremely talented. This was especially evident during his fight against former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, who he outboxed using his speed and agility.
