Tyson Fury reveals he wants to square off against Anthony Joshua or Oleksandr Usyk, but they won’t fight him

Tyson Fury hasn’t fought in six months. After much turmoil, Fury’s eagerly anticipated fight with Oleksandr also fell through. However, Fury is now asserting that he is prepared to face not only Usyk but Anthony Joshua as well.

The Gypsy King and ‘The Cat’ are looking for potential opponents to fight in the summer considering their fight negotiations won’t resume until at least December of this year. Numerous matchup speculations are now swirling about Tyson, but it felt like the fight with Andy Ruiz had the most chance of happening.

What did Tyson Fury say regarding his fight against Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua?

Fury has previously stated that there is no chance that he will agree to take on Joshua. The British heavyweight, though, appeared to have changed his mind during a recent press conference in Tenerife as he is having trouble finding a suitable opponent.

“I’d love it to happen, love it to happen I’d love to fight Oleksandr Usyk, I’d love to fight AJ, but I just don’t think they want to fight me,” Fury said.

The reigning WBC heavyweight champion has previously made it obvious that he doesn’t want to face Joshua when he was in negotiations with Usyk. Despite Joshua’s aspirations for a call from Fury, Fury declared that the English fighter is dead in his eyes.

AJ’s view regarding a bout against The Gypsy King

Deontay Wilder is the opponent Joshua has in mind for his next fight. The British boxer in an interview recently revealed the likely date and location of the bout. According to AJ he and Bronze Bomber will fight in Saudi Arabia in December, but the match has not yet been formally announced.

On April 1, Joshua earned his first victory in over three years at the O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom. On top of that, it was a fight against Jermain Franklin, a boxer without a loss in his illustrious career. After twelve rounds of exciting displays of boxing between the two heavyweights, AJ prevailed over Franklin on points.

AJ never faced Tyson Fury throughout his decade-long professional boxing career. Nevertheless, the two-time former unified heavyweight champion has been hoping that Fury will call him out because The Gypsy King’s bout with Oleksandr didn’t work out.
