Glover Teixeira would be taking on Jan Blachowicz at UFC 267 in Dubai. This is a more than solid match up, with both men needing the light heavyweight title. For Glover, who has gone 5-1 in his last 6 fights, it’s make or break time. The same goes for Jan Blachowicz too. His record is quite similar to Glover, but he had two title fights recently at UFC 253 and UFC 259.
This title fight has some interesting dynamics to it given their contrasting styles of fighting, with Teixeira being the powerhouse wrestler while Blachowicz is the much more agile and explosive striker.
This fight could go either way really but Jan may have a slight advantage as he will be fighting to keep the title to him. That’s probably just wishful thinking though as both men are tough as nails and haven’t been beaten easily by a lot of contenders they have faced thus far in their careers.
What we do know however, regardless of where this fight goes, it sure promises to be a stand-out performance from at least one of these two fighters. We could see either Glover or Blachowicz pick up a stoppage win if things work out right for them during any given exchange.
