Superstardom in the UFC is hard to achieve. Few get it fast, most have to work their way and many can’t hold on to their reputation. Paddy Pimblett burst into the scene as one of UFC’s fastest-rising stars. His recent antics could be a major impediment in his journey to the top.
Paddy captured people’s attention through his energetic personality, charismatic banter, and regular-life shenanigans. Later people began to like him, even more, when he delivered heartfelt speeches on male mental health and suicide.
The fame might have gotten to his head as recently he had been getting into controversies one after another. It started with him verbally attacking journalist Ariel Helwani. Later he picked up a unanimous decision over Jared ‘Flash’ Gordon while most people thought he lost all rounds.
Paddy not only discredited all criticisms thrown at him but labeled critics as ‘haters.’ Unfortunately for his fans, fighters, commentators and officials have pretty much unanimously spoken against him. Only a few individuals like Dana White and Conor Mcgregor came in his support.
The fiasco doesn’t seem to end as new pictures portraying ‘The baddy’ partying with giant Marshmellow have surfaced online. Fans have become angrier now and they didn’t shy away from showing it online.
Shouldn’t “win” be in quotes?

The only way for Paddy to turn around his diminished rep and be the villain he so badly wants to be is to actually beat a ranked opponent, and it seems so unlikely.
