It is needless to say that Conor brings in a lot of eyes to whichever brand he is marketing. However, there can be times when it is tough to deal with the former champion. And as a result, McGregor could end up losing his multi-million deal with Miami Heat due to a recent controversy.
Why did Conor McGregor’s deal with Miami Heat got called off?
Conor McGregor was extremely close to sealing the deal with the renowned NBA franchise Miami Heat which could have seen his brand TIDL’s sports logo on the jersey of the Heat players. Everything was seemingly going according to the plans of the Irishman until he was accused by a woman of r**e.
The Notorious who made an appearance at Game 4 of the NBA finals between the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets landed into big trouble as a woman alleged that Conor took her inside the bathroom and forced her to engage in oral sex. Consequently, the Miami-based Basketball franchise had to revoke the deal with McGregor’s venture TIDL Sports.
Following this revelation, one of the insiders from the Heat organization spoke to Page Six and explained the current situation, “This was very bad for an otherwise crystal clean organization. I can’t imagine the Heat brass want the Tidl Sports patch on their jerseys. It’s a reminder of the 24 hours of hell the organization went through.”
Update on Conor McGregor’s alleged case
Conor McGregor recently came out in public and denied the r**e allegations laid against him. But it seems to be an uphill battle for the Irishman as recent reports suggest that there is video evidence that shows McGregor having a conversation with the alleged woman.
The woman’s attorney Ariel Mitchell seems to be trying her best to get justice for her client by doing almost everything possible. However, after the leaked footage, there has been an update that shows the woman willingly walking with Conor.
This goes against the allegations that McGregor’s team and NBA staff forced her into the bathroom. This one factor could potentially turn the case around in favor of ‘Mystic Mac’ unless further evidence is provided from the accuser’s party.
The former two-division champ is no stranger to controversy but this time around, the consequences seem to be rather severe.
