UFC president Dana White confirms epic bantamweight showdown between Henry Cejudo vs Marlon Vera set for UFC 292 in Boston

For the already-loaded UFC 292, another intriguing battle has been confirmed. Henry Cejudo will return, and Dana White has announced that the former two-division champion will take on Marlon Chito Vera next.

After a three-year layoff, Cejudo came out of retirement in May to reclaim the bantamweight title. The Olympic gold medalist appears to stick with the UFC a little longer.

UFC 292 to feature epic Henry Cejudo vs Marlon Vera showdown in Boston

After his defeat against Aljamain Sterling, Henry showed uncertainty about whether or not to continue his MMA career. Triple C lately altered his mind. In a tweet, Cejudo stated that his MMA career was far from done and that he wanted Merab Dvalishvil to be the next opponent.

Earlier in the main event of UFC 288 at the Prudential Centre in Newark, New Jersey, Cejudo, a former flyweight and bantamweight champion last fought against Sterling, the current bantamweight champion. ‘The Funk Master’ was able to fend off Triple C, and keep his gold strap.

The UFC president is now pitting the number 6-ranked fighter of the division against The Funk Master in Boston. The Ecuadorian fighter is also coming from a defeat against Cory Sandhagen.
