Israel Adesanya loves to put on a show for the audience every time he steps inside the octagon. Be it with his mind-blowing striking or fascinating walkouts, The Last Stylebender almost never fails to amaze the crowd. Last weekend Izzy sparked his arch-nemesis Alex Pereira in the main event of UFC 287 and shocked the entire world yet again.
With this victory, Adesanya became the only fighter to have won the middleweight title twice. As mentioned earlier, Israel Adesanya loves to fight and that is one of the biggest reasons why UFC President Dana White is a fan of his.
Because just one week after overcoming his toughest challenge in the UFC, The Last Stylebender wants to get back inside the octagon as soon as possible.
After the UFC Kansas City event, an interviewer inquired the UFC President about his plans with Izzy after his win over Poatan. Dana gave a surprising update on his return. He revealed the reason why he loves Adesanya and hinted that he might make a return before the end of summer.

“Let me tell you I said this before and I will say it again. This guy was already blowing Hunter and the guys up When’s my next fight, when’s my next fight? I wanna fight again. I love that about Israel Adesanya. Israel Adesanya wants to fight nonstop, continuously and he wants to fight everybody. So we are working on that. He will fight again maybe before the end of summer.”
There is no doubt that Israel Adesanya is one of the most active fighters on the roster. He has fought ten times in four years since becoming the middleweight champion. And despite facing the pressure of defending the belt, he wants to keep on fighting as soon as possible.
What’s next for Israel Adesanya after defeating Alex Pereira at UFC 287?
Alex Pereira seemed like he was the boogeyman of Israel Adesanya. However, The Last Stylebender overcame the ghosts of his previous fights and brutally knocked out Poatan to reclaim his middleweight throne. Following Izzy’s win, arguably the best thing to do would be to book a trilogy bout between Adesanya and Pereira.
Although Alex Pereira announced on his YouTube channel that he is moving up to light heavyweight. With that being said, the most deserving contender probably is Robert Whittaker. Considering he has defeated all his opponents after losing to Izzy in the rematch. But there is a big dilemma as Israel wants to face new fighters and he has pretty much lapped the entire division.
Dricus Du Plessis is an option as they are going back and forth on social media. But the South African middleweight has to prove his capabilities before getting a title shot. The dream matchup would be Izzy vs Khamzat but the UFC seems to have other plans for Borz.
