‘UFC simply lost the bid for Francis’ Eddie Alvarez slams Dana White over Francis Ngannou’s remarks at UFC Vegas 67

Francis Ngannou’s future with the UFC has been one of the most discussed topics in the MMA world for the last few years. Many fans and fighters alike wanted to see the Cameroonian take on former Light-heavyweight champion Jon ‘Bones’ Jones. Unfortunately, that fight will probably not happen anymore.

As is tradition, the president of the UFC, Dana White sat down with the press after UFC Vegas 67. Earlier an ‘accidental’ reveal from T-mobile arena leaked the Jones vs Gane fight for the vacant Heavyweight title. Dana himself knew this would be the leading question so he decided to start addressing the burning topic.

Dana White claimed that Francis was released from the UFC and could operate as a free agent. The UFC head honcho also suggested that Francis might be willing to fight less capable fighters for far more money and added that the ‘Predator’ probably did not want to fight the best of the best competition that UFC had to offer.

Cyril Gane had called Jones out earlier on Twitter which led to a lot of speculation. Later the French fighter revealed in an interview that the Heavyweight division can’t stay still forever and needed to move on, which is why the fight was booked. Meanwhile, Eddie Alvarez decided to go after Dana White for his comments regarding Francis.

What did Eddie Alvarez say about Dana White?

Eddie first revealed his suspicions as to why the former Heavyweight champ left saying,

“Ufc simply lost the bid for Francis, instead of admitting that, they go with the narrative that the Scariest mother fucker alive is Afraid to fight in the UFC hahhahahahhahahahhahahahhaa These jokes write themselves #PHSUnreal”

He elaborated on the matter with a comment on Instagram where he said, “Nobody in the UFC is “Afraid “ of anyone. The men who fight there are there To fight the best … The UFC is Afraid to Pay fighters, this is the only reason People leave, Fighters don’t give a Fuck about who the next opponent Is, they do care about what the Pay will be. Keep it Real and just say We lost the bid, Someone is Paying more, and end it there.”

Gane and Jones are scheduled to fight in March.
