The UFC Fight Night Singapore card was built around the much-anticipated clash between “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung and former featherweight champion ‘Blessed’ Max Holloway. Both fighters reportedly have long desired a UFC faceoff, and their wish finally came true.
The event also featured notable fighters like Anthony Smith and Giga Chikadze. Lionheart finally picked up a victory after going the distance against Ryan Spann and picking up a split-decision win. Chikadze on the other hand secured a unanimous decision.
Max Holloway defeats The Korean Zombie
UFC Singapore’s main event featured a highly anticipated featherweight bout between Max Holloway and The Korean Zombie. Holloway was returning to action for the first time since scoring a unanimous decision win over Arnold Allen this past April.
Meanwhile, Chan Sung Jung, a.k.a ‘The Korean Zombie’ was looking to get back in the win column after losing to Alexander Volkanovski in his last Octagon appearance at UFC 273. Prior to that setback ‘TKZ’ was coming off a unanimous decision victory over Dan Ige in June of 2021.

UFC Singapore’s main event proved to be a thrilling slugfest for as long as it lasted. Max Holloway was able to hurt Chan Sung Jung on a number of occasions in the opening two rounds, but in classic Zombie fashion, the Korean stayed in the fight and kept on swinging. That was until early in round three when a wonderfully timed right hand from ‘Blessed’ landed flush on ‘TKZ’ and put him away for good.
UFC stars lavish praise on Max Holloway’s performance
Max Holloway continues to demonstrate his dominance within the octagon, proving that he is still arguably the second-best fighter bar Volkanovski. Once again, he showcased his prowess by delivering a devastating knockout blow, effectively bringing an end to “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung’s career in a sensational headline match at UFC Singapore.
Pros reacted to Max Holloway knocking “TKZ” out cold. Daniel Cormier, Ariel Helwani, Dominick Cruz, and Jon Anik are among the few who lavished praise on Holloway on X, (formerly Twitter). See the reactions of the pros below!

Normally, Max would be set for another title match against the reigning champ but considering Alex has already picked up three victories against him, we may never see the fourth matchup. Perhaps it’s time to pit ‘Blessed’ against the hot prospect Ilia Topuria to see if the Georgian can prove himself against one of the best featherweights of all time before moving on for a title shot.
