UFC star Conor McGregor meets Anthony Joshua’s promoter to show support to Katie Taylor ahead of her boxing bout vs Chantelle Cameron

Conor McGregor, the former dual-weight champion, has recently announced that his Forged Irish Stout will sponsor Katie Taylor’s first-ever professional fight in Ireland.

The fight will take place this weekend when Taylor faces off against Chantelle Cameron at the 3Arena in Dublin, the same venue where McGregor fought Diego Brandao during his rise to fame in 2014.

If Taylor wins, she will become the undisputed light-welterweight champion, adding yet another achievement to her already impressive record. Conor’s sponsorship of the event is expected to help fund the fight and bring more attention to Taylor’s impressive career.

The announcement of the sponsorship deal was accompanied by a video of McGregor’s meeting with Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn in February, further fueling excitement for the upcoming event.

As a result, Conor’s beer brand is expected to gain even more exposure and popularity among boxing and MMA fans alike.

“Katie in Ireland, an Irish fight on the big stage,” McGregor said to the camera after excitedly greeting Hearn at his Black Forged Inn pub.

“Eddie has been doing big things in the boxing realm for years, he’s been looking after Katie and supporting her – giving her big shows all over the world – and now he’s coming back and giving her a show in Ireland.

“So, of course, I appreciate that and respect that. I wanna come on board and support Katie. Support Eddie, who is doing a great job with her.”

“Here we are! A homecoming for our champion.”

Conor’s support for his fellow Irish athlete, Katie Taylor, comes after his recent travels to watch boxing and bare-knuckle fighting events in Las Vegas and Denver, respectively.

McGregor is now expected to be present in Dublin this weekend to cheer on Taylor as she faces Chantelle Cameron in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.

Following his trip to Dublin, the 34-year-old Conor is expected to settle in Ireland and begin preparations for his highly-anticipated comeback fight against Michael Chandler.
