Jamahal Hill followed the path of some of the light-heavyweight champions that have come before him and had a rather short-lived tenure as a champion. Interestingly he too decided to forfeit his gold like his potential challenger Jiri Prochazka.
During tonight’s UFC Fight Night event headlined by Holm vs. Bueno Silva, several prominent figures from the UFC were in attendance, and Hill was among them.
Despite being unable to compete, the former light heavyweight champ made an appearance at the event and was seen immersing himself in the live MMA action, sharing the excitement alongside fellow enthusiasts.

“Sweet Dreams” has to go through surgery and has to take on a complete rehabilitation program in order to recover from this unfortunate injury. As a result of the setback, Hill had to cancel his highly anticipated title defense against Jiri Prochazka in the light heavyweight division, a fight that was scheduled for later this year.
Throughout his UFC career, ‘Sweet Dreams’ has participated in nine bouts, suffering only one loss against Paul Craig. This American fighter attained a notable triumph on January 21 at UFC 283 when he emerged victorious over Glover Teixeira, thus capturing the UFC light heavyweight gold strap.
